We had a fabulous farewell dinner with four other families last night. Wonderful to catch up before the big adventure - not only for the 15 kids to see one another - but also for the adults to take 'time out' for a chat. Thank you Cathie!

Today was a day of tiding the house for our house sitting friends, followed by a BBQ dinner at Mum's at Maitland. Very nice to sit on the back verandah and open a bottle of champagne.

The best viewing in Tokyo is predicted to be be from 28 March - 5 April this year  So, provided that the rain and wind stay away, we should be able to track down some nice trees in full bloom.
