The last of Scotland

A few more photos from Scotland. The trip to the north was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed the mid term break.Sophie and Will are now much more inspired about the history that they are learning at school. We were VERY lucky with the weather!

On Friday, we spent the day with some last sight seeing in Edinburgh. John and Will went to the warhammer shop on the Royal Mile, where Will painted a model. Sophie and I then joined them for a walk to Nelson Monument on Carlton Hill. Sophie decided that she had better do some study for the end of year exams the following week - so, John and Will went for a walk near Arthurs Seat. On Saturday, we returned to York to collect a different hire car, then back to our little house in Terrington. The afternoon and following day were very warm. John and Will played a lot of football on the local oval, while Sophie finished some last minute cramming. She was a little nervous about the exams, having only covered a third of the year's work - and with others in the class busy studying - but in the end was given 'cut down' exam papers for some of her subjects.
