Tour de Yorkshire

The Tour de Yorkshire passed near the little village of Wombleton on the way to Scarborough last Sunday. Soph and Will found the whole process very exciting - lots of police cars and motorbikes worked in convoy to clear the roads - some at high speed. Then the bikes came through in a couple of groups - a breakaway group and the main peloton. We spent the afternoon at Nunnington Hall. On this visit, we had a 'proper' English afternoon tea in the cafe, followed by croquet and quoits; and a visit to the photographic exhibit up in the attic rooms.
