Yesterday we took the cable car up to the monument to Kaiser Wilhelm above Rudesheim, then walked about 2km to various lookouts before taking the chair lift down to Assmushausen. We then returned to Rudesheim on the ferry. The views were impressive and we even saw deer in a fauna park at the top of the hill. Later that even we listened to some of a concert in the local town square before collapsing at the apartment and watching some of the Olympics on TV. We have to cope with German commentary and I don't think the Austrian commentary next week will be much easier!
