Vienna and a second concert

After a late evening on Friday, we had another late start of Saturday, spending most of our time in the St Stephens area. The highlight of the day was a visit to the Museum of Music with details about the composers and also interactive displays on hearing and the development of modern music. Sophie and Will even had the chance to digitally conduct an orchestra and attempt to keep the musicians in time. We had picked up tickets to a string quintet in St Stephens Cathedral and were very impressed with the standard of the performance. Before going into the concert, we wandered around of few of the inner city streets. When we lined up in front of the Cathedral, a few people started running out of the square and it was clear that a protest group was moving through the town. The police arrived, the disturbance settled quickly and we were let into the Cathedral. Sophie and Will were concerned but okay about the disturbance. The touts selling tickets hadn't moved and it almost looked as though it was a regular occurrence to them. We could see a few banners in the distance with a 'peace' focus but there may have been a muslin element to their cause. The number of women in burkas in the city, wandering out of the high class shops, was surprising.
